Being kind to others is sometimes easier than being kind to yourself. But in order to do the former, it helps to do the latter. Here are some good places to start:
Make me time. Every day, carve out some time to do something that brings you joy. Alone time is important for recharging your battery.
Recognize your wins. It's easy to see others' achievements but often harder to see and appreciate our own. When you do something you're proud of, pause and recognize it. Once you can do this, you'll be better able to accept praise and compliments from others.
Forgive yourself. Stop blaming yourself. Instead, forgive yourself so you can learn from the past and move on.
Don't berate yourself. When you make a mistake or don't reach a goal, you have two choices. You can either beat yourself up or you can lift yourself up.
Take care of you health. Get enough sleep, eat plenty of fruits and vegetables, learn to handle stress, and get regular exercise. Nobody else can do this for you.
